Seems 336 whp+ is possible with stock turbo and 91 octane gas.

Lucky, you ain't in CA. Otherwise 91 is all you get. My goal is to go to a high performance driving school to learn how to drive the EVO to within inches of it's life. When I've done that, then I'll think about increased power.

yeah but the thing is, that there not highway cars, there Rally cars, or drifters. You dont need really high hp.Im going to as far as bolt-on, never open up the valve cover, or drop the oil pan.

There are three types of people. Those that want a decent daily driver that is fast(around 400whp), those that roadrace(anywhere from 400 to 500whp) and those that drag (500+ whp). All three types require different setups, mainly turbo configurations.

If I start beating Porche turbos at the track, then I reached my goal.

.....for now.

Me too.....at least until the warranty period is up....i figure focus attention to suspension, wheels, aesthetics.....

when the warranyy is up....i'll pick up an EVO X, XI, or XII....and mod the hell out of this puppy....

haahahahah.....

On the fantasy side.....350 whp would be a suitable # for me....not to fast....not too slow....just right....and still be somewhat balanced.....

at least until something breaks....

I hear ya on the driving school. I figure 350whp and something similar on the torque range will keep me smilin'.

This car was my daily driver. 750 rwhp, smoking tires, 2 trunkmonkies on avgas/nitro. I went through 3 transmissions, 2 rearends, 8 sets of U joints, and a driveshaft getting there.
It would lift and carry the front wheels through first and second gears and got pulled over all the time.
