123,000 evos? not picking on nobody but thats alot. this is why i want a HARD number so far we have anywhere from 1000 to 123000 so this needs to get narrower.

ps that means mitsu made around $3,075,000,000 in evo sales alone?

I heard there were 4300-4500 in '03 and 1500 '04 models in the US. There were not 123,000 Evos made worldwide...not even close. I believe the vin sequence # is also used for the base Lancer.

i remember mitsu saying they want to hit 6000 in the US so in 03 when they came out anyone who wanted one got it then. so the numbers are just going to go down IMO. 4300-4500 sounds good but i still want to get that number.

If the MR is a limited edition at 1000 units then it doesn't make since that there were only 1000 in 03. Typically, a car is a hot seller it's first year available especially a cult status car like the Evo. I heard over 4000 were sold in 03. The numbers were less than 2500 for 04 which makes since because most people who wanted one got one in 03. Sales continually decline until there is a change in styling or engine.

I forget what the rule is but I think that the car companies have to make at least 1000 of them for it to be a "Production" car....or was it 100?
I would really like to find out the actual numbers though.....comparatively what is an average production number. Like for a regular lancer, dodge SRT-4 or an STI ?
