ive been having this sound that sounds like a rattling windshield in my evo since the day i got it. its going in on tuesday for a oil change but im wondering if anyone else has had this problem? if so please reply, thanks.

i thought my windshield was rattling like crazy... but it's the rearview mirror. when the rattle begins, try holding the tab that shifts the mirror to night reflection and see if it goes away...

 

yes.. my windshield does rattle.. got that fixed at the dealership under warranty. it was on my 05 MR.. the dealer should get it taken care of pretty easy..

 

That's funny because when I was driving my evo on the highway going about 70mph... cough cough, it sounded like my windshield was rattleing, but then my buddy told me it was my hood, and he was right it is the hood rattleing at high speeds, check and let me know if it was your hood, go outside and try to move it up and down, if you can, then it is your hood, just like on my evo.

I noticed this yesterday when the bad weather came through Tejas in Dallas. I'll have to get that checked as well. They'll probably try to say that b/c I have a BOV, they won't cover it under warranty. F***ers......

JDM EVOVIII: under the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act if they try to pull that with you its illegal unless somehow your bov managed to lift up your hood in a way that is very unlikely so mention the warranty act if they try anything funny.

 

It was just a figure of speech, but knowing mitsu dealers, they'll probably try to pull some crap like that. I believe it's actually my dash that is rattling.

 

no wideshield rattle on my 04 gsr. just a squeaky seat

 

I got an 05 evo and the windshield rattles. The bild quality is not the best but the car drives sick. Sometimes you have to take the bad with the good.

 

All cars need to have a couple of things ironed out - I never could get the dealer to fix the window seal leak I had in my Subaru. I'll take the rattle over the leak any day!

 

What was the fix??? Please tell us. I've been waiting to hear a solution to the problem. There is another thread about this issue any many 2005 owners are experiencing the same issue.
