Gilles basically says that there are two points that really stand out to him as being different from the VIII:
- The car is more stable, precise and firm.... and therefore faster! I believe he mentioned that the centre of gravity is lower.
- Turbo response is much better.
I'm in French IV and you are correct on what you said, but he also said that the car has a much more prominent racing character and it feels stronger than the previous Evo.

Why was he left foot braking?....evo's have pretty neutral handling and seem to produce oversteer easily...and he even does it on the downhill portion, where it's real easy to shift weight forward...im wondering why, since understeer shouldn't really be much of a problem. I only hear of left foot braking in FF cars.

because he was going really really fast.

Because he's trying to stay on boost. Easiest way to produce oversteer on evo is to let off the throttle, which he's not doing.

It really depends on what his tires are set at. also i'm sure the new blistens act different than our evo's.

Yup, like plokivos said, he was spooling the turbo even while his still braking.

True but he's got an ACD. Don't try it on 03 Evo
ACD disengages the center diff when you pull the e-brake.

we don't have center diff.

ACD is a center differential. Active center Differential.

We don't have AYC, which I'm sure he does on that JDM/Euro Spec Evo 9 mr.

who said rally driver can't drive in courses? Where do you think they all started out, in a dirt track or something? They all come from some sort of racing background, usually kart racing.
If you could control your car going 80 mph down hill in a tightly winding road, then I believe you have the right to talk smack. lol

i'm sure he was taking it easy.

WOW! That's awesome. Mitsu is really moving in the right direction with that car, I'm also looking forward to a strong appearance from the evolution in the WRC next year with the addition of a mivec powerplant. Mitsubishi is really stepping it up moving away from the 4g63 motor and things look to be going well so far. And for those of you who are saying that the car has this and that on it and doesn't have this on it... keep in mind this is a PROTOTYPE of the jdm/euro model and things are bound to change drastically for better and for worse when its released in japan and europe and if this reaches our shores it's bound for even more changes. Keep us updated if anyone hears anything else i'll definitely have my eye out.
