Well, my rim is def fixable but the shop might not have the SSR gold paint to repaint it so I think I will have to get a new wheel. I drove back to the place today to look for a pot hole but I did't see anything but one part that was uneven. Not sure if its something on the road or that uneven part that bent my wheel. I swear I have the worse luck these days. Anyway, thanks for the support.

I have to tell you guys, I've lived in 8 states and have spent time in almost all the rest and the New York/Long Island area is the worst I've seen. These roads were made for buggies in the 1800's and paved over the cobble stones. Some of the 'highways' are so bad I feel like I'm on a pogo stick.

Even at that, it isn't as bad as driving down Imperial Hwy. in Brea Ca. when some a$$ clown flipped the manhole covers on end.

Our roads have been like that for years it has nothing to do with the budget. Cal trans just sucks. But the city will pay for it if you go and show them where, I had aa friend who hit a pot hole and they paid for her rim. I takes time but it might be worth it

I just bent one of my TE-37, too (just not as bad as your SSR). The rim is fixable, but the paint isn't. Also, I just got my track spec alignment done at RRE for $125, and I have to go back and have them re-check it.

Thats fixable, do a search on it....but otherwise, call the city. They will reimburse as long as you can get pics of the pothole that did it.

sorry to hear about your misfortune but that rim is definitely fixable. i bent my gold advan rg when i got in an accident at 680 last november and this place fixed it for me. they custom matched the color of the wheels and it came out looking like new!

its not a pot hole, but instead a seam where 2 pieces of asphalt are layed together. that seam sticks up like 4"! its awful, when going past there, keep an eye out for seams, they will kick your butt. there is another one if you take the race street exit off of 280/680. its just as bad. watched my buddie blow out his tire there!!!!!!

I can't say much for other cities, but I do know that I try to stay out of Chicago as much as possible. Pot holes can do much more than bend wheels (unfortunatlely). I just recieved my SSR 18's with 255/35/18 tires and will try to avoid crappy streets as much as possible. Sorry to hear what happened to yours.

when i bent my rim on the damn 91 freeway in riverside.. .i called the transportation department, they had me take a picture of the rim and fax it to them.. and then put how much it costs with the reciet, and then about 3 months later i got a check for it... so you can always try...
