The 35th Anniversary 350Z launch at SEMA was one of the weaker press conferences.
I just don't think it's a real focus for them, as much as it is for DCX (Mopar) or Subaru or even Toyota (Scion).

I am not sure about your original post but the Mustang GT and the Nissan R do not compite with the EVO at all, the EVO is more pricy.
Anyhow I don't know why you mentione the Nissan sentra SENTRA-R whenthe competitors should be the WRX and the Neon(4 door sedans) not price wise though.
The only direct competitor for price and performance is really the STI.
Perhaps the RX-8 and nissan 350Z should be included on this topic.
