you really want an extended warranty? mitsubishi is voiding them on cars with less than 5k miles on them. Do you really want to think about fighting for a warranty until 100k miles or 10 years down the line!? I have an 04 with a 10/100 warranty and really just think of it as if I dont even have a warranty at all. Mitsubishi isnt someone who I would want to rely on to fix my car under their Best in the Business warranty

200 bucks isnt really worth it, maybe for 200 a day that could be something to consider.

seems legit though, I am sure there are always studies about cars and their specs.

Let us know what happens,

Nick

Dont forget, the clutch and similar are not under warranty, so if you get a car back with a burnt clutch dont depend on your cool 100k warranty to fix it.

I too received the letter. Although I no longer own the '03 GSR, I own a '05 MR and would never let them touch my car, period. I think this is a great 'sucker-trap' for mitsu to void even more warranties.

they look like a pretty serious testing and engineering company from what I am reading. I'm interested in knowing more about them...not because of this letter...just because I'm interested in everything they do

Yeah that's also a good point....I think it would be good for us for one of our insiders to find out what the reason is for them doing such a massive testing campaign.
