Something that stands out to me is that they state it is an EPA law and they make it sound like this is a regular thing they do this for every make and model. In my 12 years of surfing various car forms, I have never heard anything resembling such a request.

Have other car companies requested customer cars for testing?

One should be able to call EPA and ask if they have summoned Mitsu to do this project and if so, why?

Yeah thats kinda weird, but if you can deal with being apart from your EVO for 10 days then go for it. I haven't had mine for a few weeks now because of an accident

XTNCT-I highly doubt the EPA summoned Mitsu alone to do this. I mean come on, if Mitsu was in "trouble" or something, you really think their going to let them "grade" their own tests? I think not.

so whats the purpose then 4cefedgst? and boshart engineering is responsible for the tests not mitsu, Mitsu is contacting me to see if Boshart can borrow my vehicle for the EPA tests

Just what it sounds like random emission testing. The logic behind it sounds feasible. Maybe I'm naive. It looks like boshart is conducting the tests, but mitsu is in charge of making sure their done to conform with EPA regulations.
