stock exhaust weights

for all those who just want to know.



exhaust part / weight in pounds

muffler - 19

straight pipe - 16.5

down pipie - 10.5

catalytic - 12.5

ouch, those are heavy numbers! need to get rid of my stockers and get some aftermarket one.

Ouch almost 60lbs! So hopefully the system I replaced it with is 30 or so!

Good info, I forgot to weight mine when I took it off. Nice to know how much we can shed, seeing as they aren't the lightest toys.

most-wanted what is ur problem ,this info is very very good . i always wanted to know this and burningmoney got answer for me. one more info.....dont throw out the stock cats and muffler. at the stealer they sell these cats for $500 and muffler for about $300.....

most-wanted you are right!! about your name that is......you are the most wanted person to to not post here anymore....great info..i guess some people fail to realize weight savings=speed. for every 100lbs you can get rid of= .1 of the 1/4 mile time.

It is good info and burningmoney97 bashed me in the worst way and I was only giving him some of his own medicine. He apologized and I have fixed all my replies also. On a better note, I realize weight is a major player in 1/4 . My car weights in at 3010.
