How do our cars do against the G35 Infinity coupe?
One blew by me the other day. I usually don't do this, but I decided to give chase.
I got up beside him and he punched it.
He didn't outrun me, but I couldn't gain on him either.
We made it to a light - I was behind him since I couldn't get beside him and the same result happened. He couldn't out run me, but I couldn't get past him.
This is my first real 'run' since I just broke her in.
How have you all fared against them?

If you know how to drive it hard, G35 has no chance against you... If you do a roll on you may end up loosing or matching if you have no mods and don't pick the right gear... My girl has the coupe and I have yet to loose let alone tie...

When my 2003 GSR was stock, I had the priveledge of running against a G35, an RX-8, and a 350Z all in the same night. I had 2 of my friends in the car with me at the time, and the other cars were all "driver only". Each one of them was from a zero-to 50 pull, destroying each one. Then we went at it again from a rolling start, and I pulled from 45 to 100 on each one of them, getting about 2 car lengths between me and the other car each time. These three cars all seemed to be new and unmidified, as was mine.
With my new RS, none of the 350Z's or RX-8's have been able to touch me, even the modified ones that I have ran in to., even whem my car was still stock Of course, they didn't have major modifications like forced induction, but still....
As with any race, your results may vary.

I'm still figuring out the sweet spot in this car.
I usually romp on cars that pull up to me in my M3. I might have gotten a little cocky...
I'm looking into a MBC and a flash.
I'm working on the suspension first. Then I'm going for power.

the new G35 got bumped hp at a electronic all wheel drive with traction control. 50/50 weight distribution with 280 hp along with 6 speed gear box.
Curb weight at 3400 pounds doing 5.8 on 0-60 and 1/4 mile at 14.23, there is no way why the evo could beat this car from stop to go or on roll acceleration.
It's just going to be that all the Hp in that car's going to be used on highways speed and that 6 speed gear box is going to help.
I'm thinking from 0-100 mph you'll have the car by 3 cars or more. but say 60mph to 100mph+, it's going to be slightly close, but with moderate mods on evo with heavily modded g35, you'll still win by 2 car length or more.
what I'm trying to say is the cars good, but not that quick. You just need to be in boost when you take off.
I haven't had anything beat me except for that blue supercharged camero z28 ss boosting 13psi with a detroit locker. Then again, I was right next to him at a stock form.

I've raced against a 350z (which is basicall the same as a G35) on the track before. My car was completely stock, his had exhaust, some ridiculous stoptech brake kit, and god knows what else and he still couldn't keep up. It was my first school too....I guess your question is probably based on straight line performance. Regardless I still pulled away on the straights coming out of turn 10. I think i may have just been a lot better of driver.
