evo and snow = lotz of fun

first snowfall with my new snow tires......vredestein wintracs...went to an empty parking lot to see what could be done. All i have to say is w0w. They work great. Never really lost contorl of the car or slide around too much....only time reallywas when I yanked up on my e-brake !

Pirelli PZero Nero all-seasons here, and I absolutely love them.

By the way, invest in a set of mudflaps. Tonight I installed the Rally Armor flap set, just in time too; we're getting major snow and sleet in NE Jersey.

A GREAT deal are the Rally Armor mudflaps, which run for about $99 shipped for the set. www. rallyarmor.com

Damn, that looks like fun. I wonder if the ACD snow mode really helps driving in snow compared to a non-ACD EVO.

If you don't want to go the mudflap route, then at least get the clear vinyl rear door jam protectors.

Please don't yank on an e-brake in an AWD car unless it has ACD...

How'd that happen? We got our first descent snowfall yesterday. Good clean fun. Faster than AWD SUVs, pick-up trucks etc. I don't understand peeps who store their Evos in the winter, you're missing out on half the fun.

I wish I would have brought my digital camera on my last trip...

We (wife and I) were surprised by an early snow storm on a day trip up north, and we got stuck overnight because of the summer tires on the EVO. I probably will never buy all-season or snow tires for my EVO, and I'll probably never be in the snow again because driving in snow on summer tires was hell! I was too miserable to have any fun.

btw, my EVO looked very close to timllam's except add blue paint and some Yokohama ES100s.

Nice pics guys!
