I started to hear noise from my car last night, I was wondering if anyone else hears it too. I hear it when all the windows are all up and only when i step on the gas (in gear only) it sounds like loose metal clanking together....i can hear it coming from the passenger side in the engine bay... i dont hear it when i'm cruising and not hitting the gas pedal...only when i start to speed up....and i dont hear it when i am in neutral while reving the engine....

anyone????

 

you mean like when your starting to move yoru car from a stop??? because i literally JUST pulled in from work and i noticed the same thing and i was gonna post this question as well? i mean is that what your asking... i mean **** mine has been making a weird noise as well when i'm in reverse and the wheel is turned... ( when i apply the brake at th same time ) its almost like a cracking knuckles thing

 

that's what it sounds like but i hear it when accelerating....

no mods..but if it was detonation..wouldnt i hear it when i'm reving my engine while not in gear??

No, because the engine isn't under any load in that situation.

Turn the boost down to 20PSI and seek professional engine management.

 

I know its late to post this but just in case anyone else had a problem...found the front motor mount came loose... retorqued and no more noise!!
