here in pennsylvania you get the tax difference... ie.. you trade a car for $20k and you don't pay tax on the first $20k of the car you are buying.... so it is like getting $21,200. Sometimes that makes a difference enough to save the hassles.

I still like the evo IV, but I'll still be getting an EVO VIII. You people need to stop *****ing about how the car looks. You're stuck with it, and complaining isn't gonna do jack **** to change what it looks like. If you REALLY hate it, just buy an evo VII front bumper and swap it on. The Evo VIII is still gonna be a great car, and it does actually look GOOD. Really, you just have to make up your mind that you like the car no matter what, and nothing else will matter anymore...

Hey everyone, i e-mailed Dinesh to give me a little more info. on the U.S. spec EVO, and here is what he wrote me.
"Hi,
I feel MMC had to limit the power to 271 PS due to emition controls in
the US. I prefer the car with ACD, but not AYC. As for the power, I
cannot frankly find a difference between the standard Japanese spec and
the US spec.
Well... once it is modified it becomes a totally different car. As I
have 2 Evo 7s, (Road and race) I know the difference.
Dinesh D."
I have asked him to comment a little more on the handling of the car w/o ACD/AYC. i'll post his response if/when i get it. either way, only a few more days until we learn everything for sure. Happy holidays.

I hate to complain, but I must admit that I'm a little disapointed.
I think that could have done better. I don't see that aggressive look that has always accompanied the Evo.
The rear spoiler doesn't seem cohesive with the look of the car. I think that it makes the car look too elongated or something, and I'm actually considering the smaller optional one.
The new STi and the G35 are starting to look a whole lot more attractive. I hope the pictures don't do it justice and that Evo 8 looks better in real life.
