Mine idles consistently at 900-950. But I've noticed that when it's really cold outside(appox. 50F) it sometimes idles at like 800. Oh ya, and when I cruise in onto my driveway from like 3k+ RPM's and turn the steering wheel, for some reason it will idle at like 1200 for a second or so.

Sorry I meant to say 6 cylinder. The Evo idle doesnt waiver with cams either, what you're hearing is the valve timing overlap, the idle should be rock solid.
