Car and Driver has always been a little bias towards the Evo. Before I read the artical I knew what the outcome was going to be.

I like both cars, and if I had the money I would have both.

Z-06s and Vipers (Sti's aren't even on the radar after you start modding).

Keep on trollin' there good buddy
Unless, of course, you mod the STi.

Everyone needs to chill. The Evo and STi has always been within a hair distance in terms of performance. The STi version 1 through 3 beat out the Evo 1 through 3, then the Evo 4 through 6 killed all the STis except for the STi Type Rs which were on par with the Evo 4 through 6, then the 7 massacred the STi at it's time, then the Spec C came and barely beat the Evo 7 and 8, then the Evo MR came out and is a sneeze ahead of the Spec C, and in the US the Evo 8 MR just barely beats the STi.

Sheesh, this is almost turning into a children's argument. Both manufacturer's will just keep one upping each other. If the one-upping didn't happen, everyone would start buying one car over the other in significant amounts.

Nooby Punk Actually, I'm on here because I'm looking to upgrade to either a STi or Evo.

u should get an sti cuz they are better. they have softer suspension so they turn better. big unsupportive seats for the portly driver a beautiful interior(cuz at the track u need auto climate control) smaller stock tires so they cost less when u have to replace them, a glued on wing (for weight savings), an engine that blows up after 400+wph (so u dont have to spend as much money for gas). plus all the magazine writers and reviewers were all lying and were bought out by mitsu and its BILLIONS.
