and not 56k ... like the car fax report shows

i just got off the phone the my lawer, he made me a final offer of $2,800
and i took it, im not getting stressed out over this thing NO MORE

let me ask you guys this if you found a mint evo withought a motor or tranny
how much would it be worth to you??

well this is a mint car, that has a noisy tranny, and the motor has been abused
its never been crashed, id rather let it sit in my drive way then sell it for'
some absurd amount
If you have $2800, you can prolly get the car in really good shape for not too much more than that depending of what's wrong with it. Check the compression, put it on a dyno and get some numbers. The noise when the clutch is depressed could be a bad throw-out bearing. Hell, you can get a beefed up short block installed from Buschur for around $4K. While that's being done, the tranny (possibly only the clutch) can be repaired or replaced and you have a very nice and strong car...... So it costs you another $3K..... Big deal, you'll have a car that most people would only dream of getting (built engine, new clutch, etc).... Think about it
Otherwise you can go to a dealer and trade it in... You'll get at least what you want to sell it for, you save a ton of money in sales taxes, you get a brand new EVO (MR, RS or GSR) and you come out OK..... I traded my '03 GSR that Busted Solutions screwed up and got $22K out of it......

Something is only worth what someone will pay.

It's not mint. Messed up tranny & motor = far from mint.

Good luck

pulls really hard...... tranny needs to be fixed, when i start it if i let the clutch
out when its cold the car stalls

its like the car is in gear , but its in neutral, my freind came by today and looked at
it and he could not figure out what was wrong with it
This is gonna be a shot in the dark, but is it possible that the flywheels is warped so bad or something related to that, that it is in contact with the clutch plate? or something like that?

As I recall the previous person beated on this car hard so something like that could be possible.

are you sure those are slicks and not worn out advans ?

are you sure that the noisy tranny isn't just normal tranny noise?

what brand are your tires?

sounds to me like you dont know how a regular evo drives.

im just asking these question cause i dont want you to be disappointed if your new evo drives like this.

Dude, calm down. You don't sound particularly mechanically minded, so I want to lay this out in basic terms. Excuse my ignorance if I am wrong about the mechanical minded part. Did the seller tell you anything about what had been done to the car or what may be wrong with it? Contact them and ask and then let us know. Be specific.

Have you really had the car out for a drive after it has warmed up? I mean really warmed up; slow drive for 10 minutes. I don't know if you know this, but these cars don't run well at all until they come up to temperature.

If it still does not run right it sounds like the ecu flash was done incorrectly or was not done properly for the mods.

Take the car to a Mitsu dealer and have them determine what has been done to the car and what may be wrong with it. Ask them to give you an estimate of what it would take to make it stock.

Do all of this before you continue to throw more money away.
