It's weird how the RS is so much faster when it's only 81pound difference on the VIII and 95pound on the MR. I always thought for every 100pounds less you would lose a 0.1 on your 1/4, I guess not.

The MR has different gearing compared to the GSR and RS. Good info nonetheless. ABS definitely helps braking.

Wow, abs must of kick butt to outrun the RS. It would be interesting if Motortrend stuck a 03 model to compare against the 05.

Based on the track times the MR does stand for Mitsubishi Racing.

Why does the MR brake better against the GSR from 100mph. Vortex generator There must be some missing variable?

Lighter wheels, although some will disagree.

My guess would be the lighter weight and better suspension, but the same sport-abs.

Lighter wheels = more efficient braking. Sounds right to me!

Oh yeah, forgot about the wheels since i'm running stock enkei's for the winter. It would of been so cool if you guys threw a 03 in the mix to see how the LSD compares.

Oh yeah suspension is different too. I wonder how the softer suspension would help. Anyways would be interesting to try the MR with the stock enkei to see if it was the wheels.

How come the MR didn't get MT car of the year
