It happens but not how you are explaining it. Something has to be wrong.

why it doesn't leak that is why I got it. I can hold 21psi now as I could not with the stock one. Plus the throttle response is better.

well wasn't that a productive response. not to second guess you but are you sure you have it installed in the proper direction?

edit: I would be curious as to the mileage and ambient weather conditions of those with leaking and non leaking stock plastic diverter valves. what works for some doesn't necessarily work for all.

Also what do you mean "worked better" Mine is just like stock. Just holds more boost. No stalling that i didn't get with the stocker atleast. Never any fluttering. If the JDM MR DV is such a troubled piece why is it OEM in Japan.... I'm just curious as to why it is such a problem here in the us but not there? Kinda confused....

P.S. Did you put it in backwards?

Hey guys I drove around with mine in backwards for almost 10,000 miles without knowing it. It came from the factory installed backwards so I didn't think twice about it. The car was in for service and came back with the valve installed differently so immediately I thought that the dealer was wrong but lo and behold they've installed it correctly. To be honest I haven't noticed any drivability or performance differences. Of course I'm going to keep it installed properly but its strange that it came from the factory installed wrong.

Mine has been trouble free. What other mods do you have?

fluttered one way. drive back and switched the orientation and it worked pretty good. at like 1psi it would flutter a little.

I have never heard of an MR fulttering at all. I would check for other problems. I know of several who have it and have had zero problems.
