Are you sure?
I sat in the JDM EVO7 and USDM EVO8 (at the show)....
EVO7 has much much better support... The shoulder support on
the USDM is still decent... but the bottom part of the seats are
almost completely flatten... I'm very disappointed..

Bro it aint our problem that the J-spec is designed for japanese people who are shorter and has a smaller body frame than the Americans...That's just how it is.

I wonder if the speed is also limited to like 110mph so that the big fat police cruisers can catch you on the highway while you're using the former rally car with flat seats in strait line speeding
Why would anyone want to buy a car _built_ for twists and curves and then not want the side support for the seats? And use it as a daily driver or a long-trip crusier?? Can someone please explain? Or is it all just about makeup...
And btw these seats are going to add up to the price because as stated - they have been designed especailly for the US market and while the rest of the world gets sport seats we'll get the cool-looking-flattened-show-off made by Recaro USDM seats.

I'll check it out tommarrow morning. I've sat in the JDM seat and now i can compare. I'm guessing the U.S. spec fit better but after looking at the picture i'm dissappointed on the leg boasters. I dont' know if that'll be a bid deal or not. Have to check it out b4 i comment.
What i can say is the the U.S sti also have down graded leg support. I wonder why??

I don't know about you people but when i sit in my 98 Accord i also have plenty of support when the car is not moving...
However ... when i hit the curve a bit harder i'm sliding out of the seat. Take into account that i don't have leather seats and have stock wheels and tyres and can't corner half as good as i expect to be able with the Evo. I'm 6'1" and around 170 +-10 lbs.
I expect to get some feedback from someone that will actually take the car to the track or likes the curves and twists. With almost no side walls on the seats i wonder how the "feel" will be.
The seats are actually the only thing that made me mad. I like the car, would be nicer if there was the old evo7 front grill instead of the new big triangle but i could live with it, i don't really mind not having the electronic bull****. I could even close my eyes on the weight gain although that bothers me somewhat and would love to see the front LSD but all around the car is not bad.
Buy maybe i'll be able to trade my US seats for the Jap/Euro ones from the larger EI-Evo owners?

SOR you are correct , some people don't care because the only thing trere going to do with the car is drive in a dirty and dusty road and then feel like they are a WRC driver, and go home, so they don't care about seats and other parts ,why care they just one a evo , a nice looking car that alot of people and magazines are talking about and they must have it ....

CRY ME A RIVER,
at least theyre not the ****ty buckets in the old RS. These new seats are very comfortable for me yet a little tight on the sides for support. Im 6'1 (which is a very tall height for the average japanese man to reach, hence the diffeerence in seats.) Not to mention I have a 38" waist. Im glad they are using these seats. As far as the G-forces moving me around too much in a tight corner, I doubt it as I am very strong, especially in the legs, and I weight 225lbs.
