when i bought my ssl, i was offered the MR for $500.00 more, i wanted leather and moonroof and declined, basicaly i got my evo w/ no tax cause bought in cali and had it shipped to hawaii. so mr would have cost me $34,990 + $962 shipping to hawaii, and $145. registration in hawaii + $15. safety sticker. total would have been $36112. i wouldn't pay more than that.

IMO OTD is not comparable number for other memeber unless they live in the same state and sometime county. I know it is ultimately what your are paying, but

State sales tax varies and some states don't even have sales tax.
Registration/Title fees vary state to state
Inspection fee vary
Other local taxes that maybe charge on delivery
Dealer fees

Too many variable to compare OTD prices, because one guy could have paid 3700 for a MR and gotten a great deal for invoice and other guy paid 36500 and paid over list

i just called huntington mitsu earlier today, spoke with tom. he offered me a grey one for 38,251, OTD, having in mind taxes are 7.75%. its still pretty high, but i want to negotiate it down it 37k, if not. 37.5k

its really a big difference from the gsr, which i think can be bought for 30k OTD, Mr would be 7 - 8k more.

this makes me want to think about what to get again. MR or M3. they are both in different classes. but i have enough cash for the m3.

i picked up mine for 39k but i got leather seats and tint, so to be honest ur not getting riped off its just a limited car and it all goes back to supply and demand. Basically if u dont buy it someone else will, they know this so thats why there so outrageous and wont think about going down. I mean lets be honest if u were Mit. or a Mit. dealer would u sell it for less if u knew u could get it for more. Yes i know some of u will say yes but back in reality u would do the same if it means u making more money. But hey just like there saying if u can wait get the IX, its got all the MR features and then some, but if u cant wait like me then get the MR, u wont regret it.

Remember you don't have to buy in your state. when i bought my EVO the local mitsu dealer was asking 10K over MSRP, so i got online and found one in Saint George Utah for MSRP they picked me up at Las Vagas International and drove me the 2hrs to the dealership with the understanding that if i didn't buy the car they would take me back. I was then able to test drive both the EVO and the STI and left with the deal agreed to over the phone.
At the time i was in Washington. now that i live in Florida but i will still fly to Saint George when i buy my next EVO.

shop around, the best deal is seldom next door.

Hey man from the figures you are saying you are getting the car $1,000 back of MSRP. Don't be a mooch. This is a great deal. I'm acctually surprised Eric is selling his MR's for that price. Look there are only going to be 1000 MR's made Plus if its a grey color only about 500 will be made.

If you don't jump on this deal someone esle will then you'll be out of luck.

There are only 15 Gray MR's left in California.
