I've been tracking the release of the AutoArt Evo 8 for some time now, because I'm obsessed with 1. My Evo, and 2. 1:18 scale models. They've been on Ebay for a few weeks, and so far AutoArt is only making the car in white, black, red and yellow. I haven't seen a blue yet, and I'm dying to find out if they'll make it in silver at some point (please, AutoArt! I beg you!).
AutoArt models are come of the best you can buy without spending major bucks on Kyosho and Exoto. I have roughly 15 AutoArt models in my collection, their WRC cars are among my favorites. Some are hard to find lately, like the 2000 Tommi Makinen WRC Evo VI. I missed out on one by like $2.50 and I'm still kicking myself for it.
The only thing that bothers me about the AutoArt Evo 8 is the wheels. Unless there is some optical illusion in all the pictures I've seen, the wheel spokes look too wide and too flat. Does anyone else notice this?
I have two examples of the Sunnyside model (a cheaper version, can be had on Ebay for roughly $15.00) and the wheels look better on that car than the AutoArt. The Sunnyside model is good (for $15.00 it's freakin great) but it has some issues. On my red model, you can see a color difference between the plastic bumpers and the metal body. The plastic is a lighter color. On my black example, you can't see any difference. Oh, and FYI, the Sunnyside Evo 8 is LHD.
For $45 shipped I'd be interested in your extra Evo model. Send me a PM.

i have the smaller version in white. 30 bucks i think i paid. Like Malibu said, ridiculous shipping etc. Great detail though. If i could justify paying 50-60 bucks, id get the bigger model.
White also looks best IMO (out of the three colors)
