EVO in BS? Solo II

So, I have heard the rumors about the WRX making 250HP for 2004. Does this mean the WRX will stay in DS? Also, if so it would make it a clear class killer. And if so, the GSX and Type Rs have no chance. But, if it does stay in DS, then it is very likely the EVO will be in DS, while the STi and EVO RaliArt Edtion go to SS or AS. What do you guys think about this? I think the SCCA will be moving some car around very soon. With the new Z4, STi, EVO, RX8, 350Z, G35 Coupe. I am not sure where cars will end up. But I do think it might be possible for the EVO to compete against the WRX.

I would bet BS. It will be tough against the S2000.

The new WRX has the same specs as the previous version power/torque wise. To see it yourself, check the Subaru Official site

So, WRX will stay in the DS and I don't see how the EVO would make sense with them. It does look like the BS for now to me...

Ahh..

I should have confirmed those 240hp WRX rumors. Sorry bout that guys. SOooo, you are betting BS for the EVO huh? Hmm.. The S2K guys are really worried about the 3.0 Z4. With Torque and all. It will be a good year for BS I think, with the 350Z, Boxster, G35 Coupe and now the Z4 and maybe the EVO. WoW! I am pumped.

My wife has been emailing the classing board for solo II at the scca. The general consensus is that the evo and sti will both go into either B stock or A stock... I'm putting my money on B stock since thats where they're sticking every freaking new car now adays... should be fun. But you never know... I personally don't see anyone getting the S2000 off its high horse... just like there still isn't a decent anti ITR car in D stock...

The national champ in BS drives a S2000 I believe.

could be wrong but I'm very sure it was him.

He was faster than SS and SMII cars

Nothing street driven was faster than the SS for the whole 2002 (except maybe ones or twice ) on any of the National type events (nationals, National Tour, or ProSolo). BS was about 2.5 seconds behind both SS and SM2. You can se the results from the Nationals your self!
