Wrench hit the mass air sensor

I was tryin to put my intake on today, everything was fine until it came time to take the mas off the airbox. Tryin to hold it from the inside, so the bolt doesnt spin, my friend accidently hit the honeycomb and put a mark on it. I straightened it out the best I could, should i worry about this at all, its not to bad of a mark? thanks

I already had the whole airbox off, I had to put it on again so I could get to work, im probably going to wait a week until attempting this again, im already pissed off about the mass air sensor.

Heh, as long as you got them back as straight as possible, you should be ok. I'd say half the people who try taking that thing off the box end up getting a piece of the honeycomb...its very common

very good way to take the bolt off is by doing a quick snap to the socket wrench. I hold a fist and just slam on it as hard and fast as possible, works every time. On my first car , i did it slowly and ended up f**king up the litte plastic holders on the air box. but qucik snap action took care of it on my second evo.

I had to cut mine apart because it wouldn't come off, and in the attempt of doing it I hit my honeycomb as well. I just straigtened it out and put on a new intake. No problems at all.

If the plastic notches are broken already, get a vice-grip, and hold the rectangular thing in the inside, and have a friend hold it. It was easy taking it out with a buddy of mine after i broke it off the first time.
