They don't say Modded either. Almost like not telling all the info. Just sounds fishy with their math.

Probably best to e-mail and ask. It had to have been modded somewhat to be legalized. Considering how little we know of what they've done it doesn't seem unreasonable at all to me. I'm sure they times they posted are the lowest they could find from a semi-credible source with a professional driver, but again...just speculation.

My guess is that it is not an RSII. Just an EVO VII... Especially with the "Japanese Spec Left hand drive Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII RS2" JSPEC is not left hand driven right?

It's an RSII. They only import RSII's for sale. yes, they make them in LHD. The only model made exclusively in RHD is the GSR.

 

Actually, NO GSR is LHD. only RSII comes in LHD format. RSII = GSR - climate control A/C and some other "luxury items" that add weight to the car.

According to various sources, the factory spec is 280hp while in reality, most EVO VII can put up to 300hp straight out of the factory.

Of course, I'm in no position to say all these are facts nor am I defending EI. However, just a little of my thought

 

And I am guessing they get the 4.4sec 0-60 times from an RS sprint. Normal GSR does that in approx 4.6sec.
