The green and yellow will be too soft for a VTA application. It will cause your car to stall.

I would start with a blue w/ 1 shim and work your way up to the red.

Yes. I am still on the blue spring and it holds fine under 22 pounds of boost.

Of course it will flutter and surge at part throttle, but that is the trade off when using a VTA BOV on a MAF based system. If you use a lighter spring (green & yellow) there won't be any or very little compressor surge, but the car will have a tendency to stall.

Why not just run recirc? You should only run VTA with a standalone system, running VTA any other way you're bound to run into problems...

I used the yellow with 2 shims. Seems to work fine for me. Never stalled once in 18k miles, but every once in GREAT while it will drop about 200 rpms but never stalled.

However it does flutter at low partial throttle boost when you let off the gas. But not any more than with the stock DV.

With the yellow spring and 2 shims the spring rate is almost the same as the stock DV. IMO

i was running the forge vta... i had some minor problems with the blue spring stalling. I switched to the dual port turbosmart bov and it is working great. Had it on for 3 weeks now with no problems. The sound is not as loud as the forge but it sounds nice and best of all no stalling.

my 2 cents
