Regardless of how the rim came apart, Enkei may still be interested in seeing the rim. If they were approached politely, with a detailed description of what happened they may be interested in getting the rim and taking a look at it and maybe, just maybe, they will do something nice for you. Even if the rim shattered due to loads suffered during the crash, they still may want to do a quick failure analysis. Data is data.

Best wishes,

im with what trinababe said, thats what i was trying to explain in my short and sort of off topic story

If the wheel did not blow up on I could have just got back on the freeway and drove to Vegas cause the car would have still been drivable had that not happened.
How can you tell from looking at it that it didn't go flat? If it had, that could explain the car going sideways and the wheel damage when you went off road.

Yeah, no car manufacturer makes its wheels themselves. There are plenty of wheels that come stock on cars made by enkei that don't actually say 'enkei' on them. And regardless, the manufacturer works closely with the OEM suppliers on the specs of the wheels.

Going sideways in the dirt is the Evo's forte so the Enkei should be up to the task of quasi-WRC action.

Dumbest comment ever. He was simply trying to put the event in perspective. Judging from the condition of the rim this could have been the sort of accident where someone was seriously injured.....the fact that he wasn't seriously injured is a good thing, hence everyone is GLAD he is alive and ok. Maybe you are one who needs to get a grip on what is appropriate and what is not......a better grip on the english language wouldn't hurt either since you like to throw insults around.

i wonder if you could get the wheel covered under warrenty
