I read somewhere that chrysler is not interested in bailing out mitsu and would not offer any more cash for them to hemmorage, and that gm and mitsu did have a relationship somewhere, but not in the us...

MMNA lost $2 Billion in the last fiscal year, which was part of Mitsu Motors Corp. of Japan, the parent company's $4.7 Billion loss. That's Billion with a "B". A Billion here, a Billion there, pretty soon it adds up to real money.
MMNA is a company in crisis. I wouldn't bet even money on its survival for more than a year or two in the USA. But then, I'm something of a pessimist.

I would guess that if WSJ refused not to run the story even after Mitsu called them about it means that the reporter on the story had some concrete information about Mitsu talking to a 3rd party about selling at least large amounts of share in the company to help keep them from going further and further into the red.
^ Damn that's one sentence. lol...
Mitsu is probably okay for now but as soon as they kill a bunch more people with defective parts and hide the fact they were defective then they will be in big trouble in Japan. I don't think the Janpanese government will let them get by again with their horrible history of hiding defects in the product form the public as a whole.

What crack are you smokin' dude? The Raider is not based off a GM truck! GM has no doing in any of it. But, lets say you are correct in that the Raider is based off a GM truck. And add in the fact that the Raider is based off the Dakota, and that being said, I can tell you that the Dakota is based off a GM truck then. It is a CHRYSLER PRODUCT! can we say CHRYSLER!

Why the hell are you spreading misinformation! When anyone with a head on their shoulders should know that GM has nothing to do with Mitsu, and for that matter to do with Mazda, its Ford. Damn, why are people so blind to their own ignorance these days. And just so you know, I do work for Mitsu....would GM buy Mitsu...maybe..to control more of the japanese market. But as of now....they have NOTHING! to do with MItsu
