According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB®), the most popular sedans -- the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Ford Taurus are particularly attractive targets for thieves, along with sport utility vehicles (SUVs), pickup trucks, and mini-vans.
The NICB®, using data reported by its member insurance companies, has compiled a list of the 10 vehicles most frequently reported stolen in the U.S. in 2002. That top 10 includes:

yeah, there are what, 1000 evo MR's in the us (or world..?)? so if 100 evo MR's get stolen, thats 10% of all MR's. now if there are 3 million civics made, and 3000 are stolen, thats only .1% of all teh civics made, but there are still more stolen the the MR. those numbers are stupid. if they made any difference, then the insurance rates for camrys and civics should be higher then my evo

Guys, it's this simple 1) They are stolen for parts like someone already said - most common vehicles make it easier to sell the parts b/c there is more demand. 2) Camry and Accord are NOT the easiest cars to steal, they are just the most sold cars b/c of reliability (this ties into #1) and being the most sold typically means the most stolen b/c there are more on the road, simply increasing chances. If you go by percentage according to how many sold you get a different list like mrbkkt1 said.
