Evo popping the central locking fuse
Hi all.
My evo keeps popping the central locking fuse. I replaced the fuse then as soon as I go to use the central again, blam the fuse just blows everytime.
I assume its shorting somewhere, anyone here seen this in their evo 8's? Anywhere I should look to see where its shorting?
Thanks for the help guys.

Yeah the fuse was for the doors.
It wasn't in the rain I don't think but the car had just been steam cleaned (I was getting datadots on it) I guess that might have popped something? The fuse for the central is one of the ones up under the dash.

You think the short will most likely be in the doors?
I will take a look there after work today. Anywhere in the engine bay that it may have shorted?

Its not a short, it sounds like a grounded circuit. That means its on the hot side of the wire and its grounding on something this will cause it to blow a fuse, a short is when two positives are touching and will not cause the fuse to blow.

Well I just replaced the fuse today (about 24 hours after I started having the problem) and now it seems to be mysteriously fixed. I don't know whats going on, oh well fingers crossed it dosn't happen again.

Well if it keeps happening the best thing to do is to get a wiring diagram on the lock circuit or whatever it is and trace and check all wires coming on the hot side before the resistor. It can really turn into alot of hunting.
