With the ATP kit you are screwed because you keep the stock manifold and that limits your options for the future. If you buy the Buschur or RnR type of setup at least you can upgrade to a bigger turbo if you want more power down the road. You can sell the t3t4 from the RnR kit an upgrade to a garret GT turbo if you wish but at least you can get a good turbo since you have a new manifold. The same thing is true for the Buschur kit. If you don't want to upgrade to a bigger buschur turbo you can try one of the many DSM hybrids that a are available since the Buschur manifold uses a DSM flange. I know you can upgrade the ATP but it will still be using the POS rear housing. Don't waste your money on a very bad designed kit.
Very bad designed kit...
I have no idea where you get your info from but I am the only one with a dyno graph making my power on a stock car. Period
no one has including AMS, RNR and BR has put a dyno with there turbos on stock EVO, none of them
Always the same answer
We are busy
dude do whatever you want, think whatever you want, follow what you want. it's your money
So the stock turbo which bolts on the stock manifold can make 400WHP but the ATP kit that bolt on the stock turbo CANT?? The stock manifold becomes efficient when you feel like it
I don’t have anything to do with ATP in fact my kit now is not ATP anymore and the guy who used to work there quit (simple) but saying it’s a bad kit is just plain Silly as AMS keep saying . It’s sad how some members follow tuners blindly example: BR 20G he said he will make power and everyone was crying for it like kids. Be real and get the answers you want and look through the clouds. The best kit on these forums was made by a guy called David. He made it to his specs and choose a 3037 63 AR (its not rocket since to make a good turbo kit) Having the tools and the knowledge will put you on the right track.

I have the ATP kit (gt3071r) and I love it! I have no dyno numbers...just pure street tuning with a laptop and a great tuner! No problems here as far as performance. Spools great! just like stock to me, and man! when it spools, it throws me back! For the money, I love the ATP kit...came complete, and thier customer service was good to me I can only speak on my personal experience with the kit. Some slight fitment issues with the downpipe and charge pipe...but with slight movement and some bushings...I'm all good I did not install my kit, my tuner shop did. I give it two thumbs up on my end

You are saying that the stock turbo will be just fine even when boosting 26 psi right?

2) for those others that are reading this post for INFORMATION, and not third-world BS, be careful. I won't say anything to ruffle any feathers here, but please do a search on the posts about the ATP 3071 turbo. Az3ar, as we've seen here, is pretty notorious in coming to his patented spurious conclusions in SPITE of what the tuners have said and advised based on their experience, including AMS and Prostreet in this forum, and Vishnu and a few others in the other posts. Keep in mind that NONE of these tuners really have a financial incentive in selling ATP turbo kits. Some people that have bought the kit, however, have a strong emotional incentive to convince themselves and everyone else that it was a good investment.
- if you are actually looking for a turbo kit, AND one that is competitively priced with the ATP 3071, i might recommend looking at the Buschur kit, or the RNR ones when they have their sales. OR, if you are thinking in the long term, i might invest in just beefing up everything BUT the turbo . . . instead of buying an "intermediate" turbo to hold you over . . . so that that expense isn't wasted. Anything you put in to beef up the stock-turboed engine (other than the hotside) will ALSO help you when you decide to upgrade to a large turbo. Getting a half-a$$ turbo in the short run will do absolutely nothing for you when you switch to that big turbo.
For what its worth, this is the ATP 3071 kit dyno:
And this is the stock turbo (on 104 octane)

I am not going to go as low as you are and answer your 3rd world comment. This dyno that Alex Alex have been posting is with stock cat
Here is my dyno with no cat. FWIW I have seen 2 RNR kits and both did not fit and required intensive fabrication, do you call this the best kit?? You just don’t know and you just don’t get it.

I didn't say there was a problem with the stock manifold either. It works well with the stock turbo and togethter they can make a lot of power. The problem is with the ATP housing/ wastegate setup. By buying an ATP kit and not getting a new manifold it limits your options because if you want to change your setup you have to buy another turbo kit instead of just changing out the turbo.
The ATP kit works but it should be at the bottom of the list as far as turbo kits go for our cars.

My car has full boost which is 24 psi at 3700~3800RPM (people on these forums have driven my car and saw it) Look at the dyno again because you don’t know how to read it. I make full power around 4.5 5 K but I get full boost way before that. I don’t have lag at al. Regarding your point of changing the turbo I have no idea what you are talking about as you can get the 3037S and the GT35R now and they all bolt on the stock manifold which is a blessing. I can switch to any turbo I like if I want too. The WG location on the ATP turbo is in fact the best location (of course you have no idea) its way after the collectors of the manifold have merged and its right before the turbo (turbine inlet). You have no experience about ATP in fact you never seen or driven one so don’t come with $hit from you a$$ repeating yourself like parrot following tuners. I have seen so many ATP kits out there and a lot of people were happy and satisfied.
You guys have made up your minds and shut your heads (normal ). Don’t read and don’t learn because you don’t have to but keep following tuners and posts blindly
FWIW I made 190WHP @ 4K RPM after my 3071 and my stock dyno (on these forums) with stock tubro made 200@ 4K RPM. Where is the lag??

I am not going to get into a big long debate with you about this. My points are clear. For the money there are better options on the market. You have no idea what I know and don't know so stick up you ***.

The ATP kit is not a bad design at all. The exhaust housing on it is a restriction around 650whp to 700whp i do admit that. I have produced over 680whp with the ATP kit on the new engine and over 500whp with the ATP kit on a stock block. So take it for what its worth.
And as far as the stock manifold. If you would do some more research the Twin Scroll setup is probably the best setup you can get. Maybe if you understood how it worked you could see that instead of just talking $hit. Even Buschur on the 20g came to the conclusion that the Twin Scroll setup is very good and out performed his tubular manifold by quit a bit.
So do some research and stop making yourself look stupid. Good get a RNR kit or whatever you want i would be more then happy to meet up with you and see how they compare. Of course make it worth my time though!!!

When did we say the ATP kit is a "bad kit". Show me.
I dyno'd the crap out of the stock motor on our turbo kit. In fact I made 550whp on the stock motor with our GT35R kit. I did most of my turbo testing on the stock motor.
