(and yes, we all know one can just buy the same upgrades for 1/2 the price)

But the question is, where is the EVO competition in this category? (let's not turn this thread into Mitsu warranty worthness and bashing - ok)

you can easily make your own fq320... like you already said. i wouldn't want any prebuilt car from anyone... c'mon... i thought we were all about building our own cars... why you want something out of a box when you're gonna end up changing lil things here and there to make it what you actually wanted anyway?

Mitsubishi has already created a 400HP monster, and it's called the FQ400. I doubt that this 425HP STi is anywhere near the complete performance package of the EVO. Especially when taking into the account that the company that help put out this STi, mainly focuses on straightline performance. I do not think Mitsubishi will respond to this car in North America with FQ400, because honestly they don't really have too. This 425HP STi, is very limited and most people won't even know what it is or where to buy it. Meaning the introduction of this car does nothing to Mitsubishi sales. Honestly does this car really make EVO owners want to jump ship over to Subaru, not really, because in my opinion there is nothing really revolutionary about this car, it's just tuned to 425HP. Wow, you can do the same thing in your EVO for 1/2 the price, sure you'll miss the warranty, but still not enough to sway loyalties. This car (425HP STi) is very limited, and the impact it will make on the Mitsu vs. Subaru war is also very limited.

Stop with the FQ-400 talk. For one it's not here, and even if it was it would cost 60k and no one would buy it.
And you all keep saying i can do that with TBE and MBC... do you still have warranty? no. thats what the point is of this.

i looked up the optional arceo wheels cause i thought they looked really good, turns out there a really cheap rim company (so quality is probably crap) which stinks, but who knows maybe theyll be the next rota, but i found some more pics of this sti on their website that make it look better, theres a side shot where u can barely see the lame racing strips and it looks hot, check it out

Last I knew, Subaru was starting The List, ie, making dealerships mark down cars that came in for service with heavy modifications, and voiding their warrentys. I think the Scooby grace period has run out, they're cracking down on mods.

Is this thread trying to imply "the grass is greener on the other side" type of deal?

FQ400 = £46999.00 (british pound) -> 90,551.64 USD

I don't know where people are pulling 60 grand price tag, except for the lower FQ models. If you want to dispute the price, one must take it up with the UK writer of the article and tell him/her that you know the FQ price better than their home market.
Below is the symbol for the euro which doesn't even look close to the fancy "E" for the British pound.
