$5 million parachute?
The April Motor Trend reports in their rumor section that Finbarr O'Neill had a $5 million parachute when he bailed out of MMNA after only 1 year. I guess that's called win-win. If he turned Mitsu around he'd be a hero and worth big bucks but if Mitsu went down and he failed he would still win personally. Something good was going to happen for him either way.

That's not win-win unless he's gonna retire or have his own business. That will stay on his track record which will have some impact on future career. Every public enterprise CEO has golden parachute so he's not special.

in general... when a ceo leaves a company they get some huge package. No matter if the company is doing well or not. If they dont get a package, they then sue and get the package..... Classic big business

Do you think the division of wealth in big business will always stay this way, or will corps finally realize that more financial equality works better for everyone in the end. (Yes, I'm a blind idealist.) Its funny how much a business must change when it goes public; Life seems to become so much about stockholders and share values that the product or service, the whole reason the company started in the first place, takes a back seat. But weird things like paying a F*ck-ton of cash to the dude who just quit because... well... thats just how it works, are totally accepted practices. Our system seems to help a company get big and successful much faster, but then does it start to eat at the company from the inside?
Which leads me to the bigger more relavent question: Is Mitsu North America going to be liquidated and evaporate? Will the Evo have three years of release in the states and thats it?

we can't be that idealist, that's called communism.
It's never an equal, you get more because we're created equal, it's "i get more, you get less, you have your job because of me, if it wasn't for money, i wouldn't be doing this".
it's the soul idealism of capitalism. Why would anyone want to work at their job, if everyone got paid the same without special treatment?
I would rather do my own thing and work less.
