I know this post is weak... but what the heck.
is there a bov you can bolt on a mainly stock car that will
not mess up the drivability but will make that obnoxious sound??

if you put on a buschur air filter (which you remove the air box) you will hear that sound fine with the stock bov, i guarantee it

your choise are:
1 go VTA and get HKS EIDS.
2 open element intake system will amplify the stock one

#1 Doesn't work with all evo's... My buddy has it with the SSQV and still is having idle problems...

You can just get a VTA BOV and then make sure you don't depress the clutch until your RPMs drop below 2K but you'll still have the "sputtering" problem...

Take the cover off of your air box. Thats what I did. I tied down the filter with elastics. Sounds better.

i have no tune. the first thing i did for the car was to spend $89 and get the cone filter intake from buschur. dropped itin and the butt dyno said extra 15 hp and that cool sound.....bssssshhhhhh...with none of that stuttering b.s. also the airflow through the intercooler shwishes nicely. you take out the airbox not the mafs.
