Funny how things change over the course of 2 years. Had you posted this when the 8 first came out, there would be so many people agreeing with your opinion.

well, i thought i was to the point that i could primer.
wrong
i primered and now i can see all the lines and dips and stuff. it'll definitly take some more sanding before i can try putting down some primer again.
i'll post pics as soon as i'm done.
