Hell yeah!

SUV's are for soccer moms, and dads who are trying to compensate.

As for the topic, I say don't pay over MSRP. The more people that do, the more dealers will try to get away with it. I don't mind waiting till summer or even next year to pay a fair amount for MSRP. Either way I will own mine sooner or later. At this point I think I have one lined up for March or so and the dealer is saying he'll sell at MSRP.

Boycott Dealers Charging Over MSRP!

I will not pay over MSRP for an EVO VIII. You'll have to pay the difference out of pocket. The car should price out between 28K to 30K and no more. I will not pay more than $30K without the park bench.

Please tell these sales managers, who obviously where selling bootlegged cigarettes at a traveling carnival 2 months ago, to stuff it. These are the same jerks that owned hardware stores and doubled the price of snow shovels when it snowed.

I find it interesting that MMC's strategy of increasing their market share includes allowing dealerships to gouge the very customers they hope will help them meet sales goals.

I will Boycott ALL dealerships that endorse this practice. I will ask my friends, family, business contacts and www buddies not to do business with them .......... EVER.

Friends don't let friends pay over MSRP. Down with over MSRP dearlerships. No more nukes..... oops... wrong forum.....

well a couple months i posted something on the mark up of the evo.and i can say i am not getting one.since availability of evo at a dealer is based on the customer satisfaction per dealer.the dealer in my area has the highest customer satis.... in the whole of florida which equates to him getting the most evo's of any dealership in fla i asked him what his mark up was going to be
and he immediately said he is going to mark it up the full 10k i said "you are crazy" he then started preaching to me about the car then ,i had to put him in his place from evo II on up that i have see and been in the evo vIII very nice he didn't even know the evo was coming with H I D headlights ,so i won't doubt that mark up , it should drop some with the right deal

if you have been watching. i have noticed that the dealerships are probably getting evo's on thier customer rating... now customer rating obviously means on the fact of the customer feedback they get. The place i am getting my evo is charging me for a "right price"... that is why i believe they are getting the most evos, the reason who the dealers that are getting less is because they are known for bad customer relations so they are going to be getting like 1 or 2 every couple months making them believe its a rare car, yet thier are dealerships that are reasonable that will be getting "plenty" of evos and will charge for a reasonable price within 1k or msrp. ^_^..
