Something does not sound right. What is the 10th digit in the VIN? Sounds like you bought a 2003 because for 2004, there are only 2 ways to get a GS-R. a) cloth, no roof, no upgraded sound b) sunroof, leather, upgraded sound system. The wing is standard.

 

Well....just got back and it turns out that the previous owner really liked the sunroof but decided so after he bought the car. Turns out he took it back to Mitsubishi and had them install the roof. Checked the door panel and it was in fact manufactured in 04'

sucks that the day i get it we get 2 feet of snow

 

if you are buying that car, i will suggest you to make sure that "sunroof" is under factory warranty......ask the dealer to write it down on the contract.

 

do you know for a fact that the sunroof is after-market? (or OEM, installed after assembly)

It probably doesn't matter too much either way, but if it was my car, I would want to know.

Either way, congrats on your purchase...get some pics up soon. And, if you have snow tires, take it out for a ride

 

Do dealers still install sunroofs? I thought they farmed out that kind of work. Just like most dealers don't have a body shop .

 

theres a reciept with the car that says there was an aftermarket sunroof put in by Mitsubishi and it is included in my warranty.
