I'd start at the tires and work your way in.

tires-good or bad
alignment-good or bad....

That's a hard question to answer.

There could be any number of things wrong.

Your rotors could be warped - causing the shaking.

Your tire(s) could be unbalanced.

Like the person said. Take it in to a trained professional.

You can't diagnose something over the internet!

do you have snow built up in your rims at all?

if so, kick your wheels and it will all be better

I know it can be a pain in the @ss, but it really is the best way.

Don't let them treat you poorly!

I'm a very forward person - and if things aren't up to my expectations - I tell them about it.

Likewise - if things exceed my expectations - I commend them for it.

Just be very polite and tell them firmly what the problem is and what they plan on doing to resolve it. Keep pressing them if they don't meet your demands.

If you were down here I'd recommend a place to go to.

I have nothing but good experiences with my dealer.

Good luck!

Let us know how it turns out.

Make sure they check the brakes and get an alignment done.

Ahh, alright:1. check your tires by running your hand over the tread to find any bumps that could be from belt seperation in your tires. (only the front ones as they would cause the steering wheel shake) 2. Check all tires for correct psi levels (they sell little gauges that will tell you). 3. check to see if the weight fell of your tires as it will cause lateral and radial runout that will cause the tire to wobble and jounce as a result. 4. when was the last time you had a brake job, as the bearings are usually checked and worn bearings can leave end play which will also cause runout (A.K.A. tire and steering wheel shake). all these you can check yourself before bringing it in . Hope this helps a little

if you've had your wheel nut off (not the lugnuts) make sure it's been tightened completely. Shake the wheel when lifted by a jack and see if it moves at all. Also, see if there's snow in the springs, not just in the rims. If so, spray with water whenever you have been doing lots of snow driving.

Snow is a good bet. Mine shakes pretty bad when all the snow gets built up in the rims and springs.

I had the same thing. Had the tires rebalanced and it was still there. Turns out my rear left tire was worn unevenly causing some shake at high speeds.
