Your dealerships are all wrong...there is a law that was passed in the 70's that stated that only if the aftermarket part is PROVEN to cause the failure, then the warratny is voided, other than that, there is no reason for your warranty to be voidd...bolt-onsa re completely legal and should not void your warranty...but it really depends on how big of a$$holes the service managers are at your dealership...

Federal law sets forth requirements for warranties and contains a number of provisions to prevent vehicle manufacturers, dealers and others from unjustly denying warranty coverage. With regard to aftermarket parts, the spirit of the law is that warranty coverage cannot be denied simply because such parts are present on the vehicle, or have been used(see Attachment A).The warranty coverage can be denied only if the aftermarket part caused the malfunction or damage for which warranty coverage is sought. Disputes in this area usually boil down to arguments over facts and technical opinions, rather than arguments over interpretations of the law.

It's up to dealer discretion. They also have to prove your mod caused the damage. Even if it's modded, they usually will do some kind of split on cost with you, but again, it's at dealer discretion. PS, my dealer sold me a K&N drop in filter, so they told me it was covered.
