Poll: any new members to the p030x circle?
Just wondering how many of you 2005 evo owners are seeing p0300 (or specific cylinder p0301, 02, 03, 04) errors thrown.
Please post up here if you have a 2005 evo (any model) and note which model you do have. I am most interested in seeing if any 2005 5spds have the issue, vs. the MR 6spds.
Thanks.

I got the code once, last week. I was driving on the interstate about 80 mph and the Service Engine Light came one - no noticable change in engine performance at all. The light stayed on for the rest of my drive that day (about 3 hours) and then for about 3 more hours of driving the next day. It went away right after I filled up the gas tank (with 93 octane). I initially blamed it on having to fill up with 89 octane that first day (the gas station was out of 93). I had 13000 miles and this was the first time I saw the code.

I got it this week('05 VIII w/3500 miles). I had to fill up with 91 octane since I'm in Oklahoma for a few weeks. In addition, I probably encouraged it by starting the car and trying to drive it right away while it was still cold. It ran roughly and triggered the code. Once it warmed up it ran fine so I reset the ECU. It came on again today while warm without any noticeable misfire or anything. It seems to be running fine but the light is on and it is P0300. I'm completely stock w/XEDE.
