If you're going used, you might want to try and find a car driven by a woman. I've heard someone on this forum got theirs from a woman, and that it was perfect (other than some curb marks on the wheels).
By the way, if you really want piece of mind, get a new one. The warranty is good if you're careful with how you use the vehicle (no racing, no mods).

Jesus I totally overestimated the Insurance. I was thinking that I would be paying like 400 a month, but maybe I will be... haha since I'm going to still be 16 when I get mine...

I have sh*tty credit, my APR is almost the same number as my age lol. Anyways, I'm paying 384/month on 72 months on 15,900$ (trade in at 9500 and 4500 cash down) Insurance is 309 a month, Progressive, 2 not at fault accidents 2 and 3 years ago, and one failure to yield ticket last year.

I don't understand how some poeple are paying so much less with the same money down and the same years paying?
Some are paying less with almost no money down when others put up to 10k and pay over 400 when some with 2k down pay less then 350

Yeah the loan amounts are a bit of a mystery. Some people don't mention how much their cars cost though, that could be part of it. I'm glad you made this post because I was curious about this too. I'm actually looking to get a new RS around May/June, and I was just wondering what people are paying for insurance and loans.
I'll be 25 in May and I'll only have one speeding ticket on my record at that time (since insurance companies only look back 3 years). I will probably have like $10,000 to put down plus like $8,000 for my car that I will be selling (anybody want an 01 Impreza 2.5 RS??? - it's nice! ) so possibly like 18K down, but I'm afraid I won't be able to refrain from modding the car so I'll probably hang on to a couple grand and put like 14-15k down if that works. Only thing I worry about is that I am a student and I actually just started a new job recently. Does anyone know if getting a loan will be any trouble? I have a good credit union and a really good credit score... Hoping that with the down payment will be enough! Any input and/or advice is greatly appreciated...

well, debt is never fun, no matter how minor. I paid for my Evo outright (thanks for the help, dad ) and my insurance is roughly $1K per year (not too bad- I'm a girl). Personally, I have this thing against loans... wait till you've saved up enough for a decent down payment, then pay for it all monthly the good ole-fashioned way. haha Loans will just **** you up and cost you more in the end. Just my 2 cents.
