Evo RS to be or not to be..
#16
I am in the same boat, I am thinking of my wallet on this one and used vs. 0 mileage. I would either be going with a 2003 or 2004 VIII w/ around 20-30,000 miles, unmolested and that would probobly set me back about $24,000. I plan on putting roughyl $3,000 down on whatever I get but I saw an EVO IX RS as an oppurtunity to get my EVO and have it REALLY be mine, I am the ONLY owner... I don't mind the missing items, I think it just adds to the NO BS, just ***** theme. I would be able to pick my color and have the new thing... most of all I won't have to worry about some retard who may have beat the car before hand... I am seeing MSRP on the new RS to be $28,000-$29,000. I don't plan on buying until next spring but with the used EVO my payment should be around $380-400. and if a brand new IX RS is only going to be $450 per mo. it is worth it to have brand new, the better warrantee and 0 miles.
$28,000 w/ $3,000 down = $25,000 financed. 06 IX RS
$24,000 w/ $3,000 down = $21,000 financed. 03 or 04 VIII
What do you guys think, I just want my payment to be about $450... if it's only $50-$60 more per mo to have brand new it's worth it but some guy told me my payment with $3,000 down will be about $510 at 5% apr. I can't do that, he wasn't a finance guy just another forum member.
