well our evo eats out oils so fast you can't believe it. Just buy a case of Mobil 1 and refill it around 2000miles and you're ok...
i forgot to check mine and the engine is almost dried up

I aim for 4000 miles, so by the time I actually get it done, it's normally around 5k

i figure they built the thing. They say 5k, I'll do 5k.
If it blows up, they can fix it

i change mine every 5-6k miles with Royal Purple... if Mobil 1 lasts that long, RP will out last that by another 5k miles... hehe... I put 10k miles a year on the car, so i change it once in the Spring (due now hehe) and then once in fall, usually around Oct... that's around 5k miles for me... but, i'm sure you could push out 6, 7k mi when engine is fully broken in and that crap is all outta there...

My car has 12K miles on it. Almost all city driving with 2 - 3 autocrosses a month. I'm not abusive but my EVO doesn't exactly loaf around. I burn no oil.

I do my own oil changes every 2000 - 3000 miles depending upon my schedule.

Silvery_Eagle - you have a sick engine and should have it checked out.

Change mine every 3 to 4 thousand miles.

I'm on the highway 95% of the time.
