Defi D vs. Defi BF
I'm starting to shop around for Defi gauges, and I'm highly considering the Defi D gauges, but I'm hearing things about the low quality of the D gauges. I'm not looking for anything fancy. I'm looking for something reliable and something that is accurate and easy to read both during the day and at night. For those with the D gauges, have you had any problems with them? Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

The D-Series is high quality, just their boost gauge has a tendency to be off from the factory. I have posted a way to solve this problem and make it 100% correct.
Otherwise, they're great. It's what I have in my car.

It basically comes down to, where does you needle lie, when the car is off. It should be perfectly at 0, indicating neither vaccum or boost pressure. Mine was off by about 3psi (on the positive side), so I had to adjust it. Here's the link:

I LOVE my BF boost gauge but its off by 1psi...maybe more
im at a somewhat high altitude and the gauge is reading 1.5bar consistently and peaking 1.6bar in really cold weather when it should be probally reading 1.4 bar or lower

I know the BF gauges are awesome and great for show, but as far a functionality and quality, are the D gauges worth investing my money into? Honestly I'm leaning toward the D gauges because of the BF boost gauge being in bar, but I just wanted to make sure that the D gauges were good. I was hearing rumor of Defi ending this gauge series because of quality issues. Have any of you heard if this rumor is true?

i just installed Defi D Boost egt and oil press..... the boost was off by .5psi maybe and i followed those directions and now its MORE then perfect its amazing how accurate they are... i went from having the stock meter kit to those and it just amazed me... u cant go wrong with the D series for the price. I personally cant justify spending upwards of like 1G for gauges.. when i can spend about 450 with a pod and have 500 to play with

Fireball, I tried this and it got back to 0 from -1.5 or so. However, it wasn't as easy as you made it sound. Prying the front face off was a PITA. Looks good now though, so thanks for the writeup!
