Upgrade to an 05 EVO VIII?

I can pick up a brand new 05 EVO VIII for a great price and get rid of my 03 for a good price too. What would you guys do? Do I upgrade to an 05, i have 30k on my 03. I cant decide and I love my 03, just putting the pros and cons togethor.

TIA

I was thinking of trading my '03 for an MR or '05 because I heard so many people saying '03 have tranny problem and other thing...

But never really had any problem tho. So I'm sticking with the '03... don't see the reason for trading my '03

I am happy, extremely happy but my buddy works at a dealership and hit me up with this incredible offer so I am thinking about it. I wouldnt have even considered it if it wasnt a great deal. Plus, i would get the 50k warranty, that I would void in a month.

I've driven both and the 05 is better than the 03. There is a difference, but it's not huge. If your going to upgrade wait for the IX.

I'm not sold on the IX, especially since the specs just came out. I'm not a huge fan of the extras they did, but to each their own. I'd think it's a decent time to try and pull a deal on an 05...so I'm either getting an MR or I'm going to wait on the X...but the "concept" art I've seen on it better be way off...or I'm keeping the current style for years to come.

^^^That's exactly what I was thinking.

Only thing is, they give quite a bit for a ~500 dollar premium.

No worries -- the US IX has the VIII rear valance and there is no change in the 3 models offered: GSR, RS, MR.

I believe you go with how good of a deal your buddy is going to give you...By the time you look at your financial situation and how much your going to be paying, you should have a pretty good idea of what to do...plus there is that whole concept of happiness...

Oh yeh and for the record my '03 tranny sucked...so the dealer put an '05 tranny in...

I was actually in the same situation as you. I just actually traded in my 03 for an 05. I had absolutely no problems with my 03 at all but had nearly 30k on it. I liked the idea of the new warranty and i'm paying almost exactly the same for the new one. I say if you want it go for it. If you like the IX then chill a bit but there are several changes that may or may not cause some issues. Good luck with it but either way the cars are all nasty.
