Evo's in Canada?
sorry if you have rules about newbies posting new topics but i just didnt have time to search through every post. ive been looking around the net but havent been able to find any solid info on the possible release of the Evo 8 in canada. does anyone know anything? if its a yes to the release, is there a suggested CAN price yet? thanks

No Lancer Evolution in Canada for at least another year. They redesigned the front and rear bumpers to meet U.S. crash test standards, but they still do not meet Canada's crash test standards, so you will not hear about it there.

so it'll be what...2004 at the earliest before the Evo comes out here? what about that more powerful lancer...kinda like the halfway point between the lancer and the Evo, do you know where i can find something out about that model?

Yes the bumpers don't meet our high standard.....but it is alos mitsu doesn't believe there is enough of a market her to warrent upgrading the bumpers. If mitsu thought they would sell a bunch here they would fix the problem and sell them. my guess is if the evo gets a redesign we may get them.
