Isnt it just that the MSRP is 500 dollars more then the 05's?? the 05's will actually go down in price wont they?

March 2003, they asked $5,000 over until I walked out. I won't pay more than sticker. But wait....I will talk to the manager...hold on...15 minutes later....can you believe this deal I have for you. You won't believe it...the manager wants to give away the store today...only $4,000 over..... What a deal...

As I was walking out again....but wait...there is more...

$2,000 over...don't you hear me correctly I WILL NOT PAY MORE THAN THE LIST PRICE...HELLO?

$1,000 over...that is the best I can do over 2 hours later... I really LOVE this car and have been waiting for 10 years....OK, done, deal, over....

I haven't regretted this purchase for a single day...

Invoice, although I did wait until Jan to buy my car. Figured Jan was the worse month for car salesmen since most people would be paying off holiday debt. It doesn't seem to have mattered though, I referred a friend over to the same dealership and he was quoted invoice price as well. No haggling at all.

And my interest rate is 5.5% with 6k down.

Hmm, I can't understand why in the world a dealership would sell such a hot car for 2k under INVOICE. 2k under MSRP maybe, but 2k under invoice? Why the hell would they do that?

Is this maybe related to you only having 6 more whp than my stock MR?

unless you come down here and run on the same dyno i did, you can't compare your dyno numbers to mine. For your information cars running 300 whp on the dyno i was tuned on run in the mid to high 11's. Unless you run 12.6's or better in your "stock" MR shut yo mouth.

That's a crazy deal. I did consider the SSL but no dealership would budge below invoice on it.

I'm sure I don't run 12.6, but I don't see why I should shut my mouth. If you're so sure of your dyno numbers being so drastically underrated (which should be the case), then why not post your timeslips instead? If I dyno'd 350, but ran a 13.3@101, I wouldn't put the ET in my sig. Likewise if I ran 12.6s, I wouldn't put 254whp in my sig.

I still don't see why a dealership would sell a hot-selling car for 2k under invoice...

Crappy cars at crappy dealerships don't even sell for 2k under invoice.

furthermore dealers get spiffs for selling certain numbers of cars. It is a tiered system. For example; a dealer may be offered a $100/car spiff for selling 200-299 cars from mitsubishi. At 300 cars the spiff goes up to $150/car for all the cars and not just the ones over 300 they sell. This might not be the exact system, but there are reasons dealers like to drop cars for real cheap towards the end of the month. They're making their money somewhere else in the equation...and in this case it is not at the expense of ME.

Where are you located? I'm planning on buying mine with cash, I hope I can get at or below invoice! What do guys think the invoice is on an 05 gsr w/out SSL?
One more question...
Are most people getting at invoice because they are financing?

Thanks in advance.

05 GSR invoice: $28,928.07 + $595 dest. charge = $29,523.07
w/SSL: $29,523.07 + $2,727.00 = $32,250.07
