Yea, definantly, they should cover it. My friend had that same problem with his mitsu eclipse and they covered it under the warranty. Good luck!!

Hey Dangsxr,

5th gear may like to grind in the upper rpms on the evo I drive Plus the shifting may feel different . I may see if the dealer will do something. The dealer
may void the warranty if a certain person seen the stuff under the hood. I may end up
sending the transmission into Teamrip(maybe thats the name).

thats perfect, have them install your clutch while they have the tranny out. i have a small grind in mine and im waiting for my clutch to go so i can say, "well, while you have it out, im going to replace the clutch"

Quick question, if I go in with no cat, I will be fined right?

I know its like 5000$ out here for no cat, I heard if the dealer sees it they will get it fined and void it.. :\

I think the law is (and it may vary between states) that a dealer cannot install an illegal exhaust. I don't think they have to report you if they see it...

Now, to get the tranny out they have to remove at least the down pipe. When they go to put it back on that could be considered installing an illegal exhaust so they may refuse to do it and make you buy a new stock exhaust... One way around this is to ask them about it and if they have an issue putting the aftermarket one back on, just take your stock exhaust in and have them put that one on. Then once you get the car back swap them out again.

have you guys seen this? https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...hreadid=130356 it should be covered under your warranty regardless of what mod that you have.and true dealership service centers wont touch your exhaust or work on it,and they dont report you being catless also.
