The price to live in paradise.

The price to live in paradise.
Im new to the forum, but have been very interested in getiing an Evo for a while now - just waiting for the right time I guess. The problem is... I live in Hawaii.
Im at a disadvantage when it comes to the sticker price (the MR I saw was $35,500+). This I assume is because of the shipping right? Is there any way for me to get the price lower? Id be satisfied with an new 03' base model even, but in white.
Maybe I can purchase the car in Vegas, then have it shipped here? What do ya guys think?
Thanks.
LA has the biggest market for the Evo, and unfortunately sometimes the biggest Mark Up (Except for Hawaii).
Maybe I can purchase the car in Vegas, then have it shipped here? What do ya guys think?
Thanks.

Dude, 7g's over sticker, that sucks. I was fortunate to get my MR at sticker with no dealer mark up and i thought i was hosed. I purchased it in Fort Lauderdale, FL and the dealer was saying that he was doing me a favor. He said that over on the west coast they were marking them up pretty high, and i didn't believe it till now.

MR's sell for ridiculously high prices, might as well just try and get a regular evo. remember its the same power and everything. only difference is 6spd tranny and some other tidbits.
