Evo vs G35

This guy at my school has been telling everyone how great his car is and how it could kick the crap out of my evo. He wants to race me for money (at a track, not on a street), however, the only problem is i dont know what he's done to the car. He has a fairly modified civic and a modified rsx, so im assuming his infiniti G35 (the car he wants to race me in) is modified somewhat (probably exhaust, intake, and other bolt on mods). I was wondering if anyone had any idea of who would win. Thanks a lot!

Unless you have a better idea of the mods...there's probably not a lot to say. If it's stock, and you're a decent driver, no real contest.

You can do anything to any car. Without knowing the mods, it's best not to put down money unless you know your car is faster because you run 9 second 1/4s. If you don't, at least find out if he has FI. If he is NA, race him from a dig and you'll win. If you race him from a roll and he is modded, it will be fairly close.

Although I don't know the mods the guy I was racing had, I saw he had an injen license plate bracket, and definately some sort of exhaust. At this time, I was just testing my car after installing my injen intake. At the time, the only other mod I had was a 3" turbo back. From a 45 mph roll, he started to pull, and so I thought what the hell....and by about 110, I had about 5 car lengths on him. I'm sure you'd be fine, especially if it were off the line. Hope that gives you an idea...

I'd say you're still in good shape. If you get him on any type of track that has turns, it's a no-brainer as well. I like the G35, so I'm not bashing here, but I think you'll quiet him down if that's the limit of his mods.

yeah, thats what im worried about because he put a turbo into his civic. I also believe he may have some nos in it (because hes one of those guys who thinks that if you add nos you immediately run 10's)
