People w/ HKS Catback... quick ?

People w/ HKS Catback... quick ?

So I purchased a 30th annv. HKS Catback, I got it in, and l'm ready to install it this saturday over at my buddy's shop, but I don't understand what the big plate is for, do I need to bolt this onto my chassie... anyone know anything about this plate, that comes with the catback?

Yes it bolts onto your chassis, behind the rear tire. You will also move the hanger from the stock muffler and use them on there. It should say on the installation instructions. Good Luck dude.

Do I have to drill holes or anything?

no drilling. you unbolt the stock exhaust hangar holder and replace it with this one. it's easy, no worries.

you should think about some urethane exhaust hangars while you have the exhaust out. i went with kartboy's set.

No there are pre-existing holes there. Do you have the installation instructions???

Ask this question after you try to put it on....believe me, you will figure it out. It bolts to the frame right behind the rear tire. Be sure to remove the rubber hanger near that location though too. You will need that for another place on the exhaust.

Everything really only goes in one place, so it isn't too difficult. Give it shot, and then if you still don't know, ask. But I think once you see it, it will all become clear.

Good luck getting the bolts off!!!!

Read the manual!

No need to drill anything, just install the two plates and move the hanger.

I have one and is very easy to install....the sound and quality is awesome. Make sure you put a heat shield to protect your bumper, otherwise your gonna have a nasty black spot

does the HKS TI also come with this plate?
